Surf Carnival

Brothers and Buddy Griffin... together again after two long weeks.Griffin - guarding his treats... he had 19 dollars left at the camp store and wanted to spend it all on candy... I put a stop on it after an ice cream sandwich, twix bar, reese's pieces, sour skittles and a sierra mist! What a funny kid!

Josh & Griffin ... good buddies ... spent two weeks at camp and still liked each other at the end!

Exactly the prayer a good surfer needs to pray for!
Grif, Josh & Geo ... the amazing Cabin Assistant who the boys really enjoyed spending time with!

Josh had an amazing experience... came home a changed kid. A pleasure to be with ... nice to his brothers and nice to his mom and dad. Hopefully the honeymoon won't end!

Preparing for life under the freeway

What a crazy boy!
He told me he wanted to sleep in this box. I never imagined that he would!
It wouldn't fit in the doorway - but he insisted in sleeping in the hallway! Then he woke up in the morning and told us he had the worst sleep ever!

Josh's room - updated pictures

Josh's updated pictures! Bed in place ... pictures hung on the walls... pennants up.... hats above window from the teams he has played on... the only thing left is a chair that I have ordered for under the window. I think he will be pleased.
He also got a Yankees pillow and a cool yankees sign for his bedroom door.
I am *VERY* pleased with my masterpiece. I cry when I think about him getting so big and making a 'big' boy room for him... ... yet still reminders of a boy ... stuffed animals that he doesn't want to part with - though I think they will soon be in storage and lego stuff he has built around the room... I am sure that will be in storage too... and then soon all of these things in the room will be dusty and my boy will be a man. In the blink of an eye. Sniff, sniff.

Ben & Daniel's Space Room

The Boys wanted a space room. They planned the whole thing and told me what colors and what they were going to put on the walls! We found pictures online of what they wanted; I drew them and they painted them. They picked their new bedding and really worked as a a team! They are very pleased with their new room! (Boy is it ever blue!!) I want to get for them some planets to hang from the ceiling and then it will be done... at least for a year or two.

Josh's Room

Check it out!
Joshua wanted NY Yankee Blue. I wanted something more creative.
This was my creativity!
Joshua is away at Camp. I can't wait for him to get home to see his new room! And, I can't wait to put it all back together. I have ordered some other stuff for it - I will certainly post pictures of the finished room!

This is a picture of the NY Logo above his bed. The pennants are all representative of teams he has been on during his time playing baseball.

Painting kids rooms are so fun!

Camp Surf

Josh is one of the luckiest 11 year old boys I know!
We took him to Camp Surf on the beach in San Diego for 12 days!
He was so excited to go but when we got there and it was time to say goodbye I think he wasn't so sure about staying!
He didn't cry but he was feeling blue. I could sense it.
They have pictures posted online and he looks like he is having a great time!
We can't wait to hear about it!
These pictures are from the website of the Camp and you can see how beautiful it is there! The sunset picture is the view from the dining deck. It's steps to the beach! I wonder if he knows how beautiful it is... or do boys not see that?

40th Birthday Celebration

I had the best birthday party!

Allen & Ben put together a Car Rally Scavenger Hunt. We had seven teams participate and we had to solve some great puzzles, go to the locations and gather stuff. It was a race. Boy was it fun! Allen wouldn't let me participate in the puzzle creating so I could participate in the race and we had the time of our life!

We all came back to our house and he put together a DVD of pictures the puzzles and we had dinner and cake and friendship.

My friends are the best and my husband is #1. I am so lucky to have him!

Josh's Trip to the East Coast

Joshua had a fantastic time with Nanny, Popop and his cousin Jake!
He went to Yale, Plymouth Rock, Freedom Trail in Boston, Cooperstown and spent time in Manhattan. He even got to see a play on Broadway and go to a Yankees Game.
He *loved* Boston and wants to go back there someday.

I am so glad that he got to spend that time with Nanny & Pop. That's what life is all about ... Memories and Moments.

Thanks Nanny & Pop for doing that with my boy.

P.S.
Ben is counting the days till his special trip with you!
