Wedding

Ben got married today.
He got married to Shelby.
Complete with a Chupah and smashed glass!
He even got a ring and a chocolate kiss.

Love how they do Religious School at our Temple.
They go thru all of the life cycle events - complete with a Baby Naming, Wedding and Funeral.

Ben was chosen to be a groom.
He said the reason he wanted to be a groom was for the chocolate kiss.
That's my boy!

Bar Mitzvah Meeting

We had to go to Temple today for a Bar Mitzvah meeting.
I can't believe that my boy is going to have his Bar Mitzvah in 15 short months.

It's such a major milestone for him (and us) ... so many things to think about and plan for...
I wonder how his day will turn out.

I will be sure to post about it and make notes of all the details along the way!
Certainly because I have two other Bar Mitzvahs to have shortly after Josh's!

Bat Cave

We hiked today to the bat cave.
I limped. Boys hiked.
Josh & Daniel climbed up into the caves.
They reported it was really cool there!

I wish my back didn't hurt so I could have climbed up too...
maybe next time.

Baby Ari

Baby Ari arrived.
He is Allen's cousin Lori's son.
So sweet and so little!
I forgot how little they were.

We got to spend some time with him today...
nothing like smelling a little baby's head!

... I spent about 20 minutes holding him. Then I hurt my back passing him back.

I guess that is G-d's way of saying no more babies for me!

Football Playoffs

Daniel's Flag Football Team - the Bears - made it to the semi finals.
He was so excited. He was cheering and even told me he felt like he couldn't sleep.
He was up bright and early for breakfast.
We got to the field; team looked great.

Daniel played his best game he has ever played!
Team lost.
By three points.

Boys were in tears.
Moms were in tears.
Coach even cried.

It's hard to lose.
It's hard to see your boy so sad.

My words weren't helping. He was crying even more. He just wanted to be a 'champion'.
I told him he was my champion.
He asked me for a sprinkle donut and then laughed.
I guess sprinkle donuts make everything all better.

Can you believe that I have to pick my boy Ben's Bar Mitzvah Date today?

I *LOVE* my Mac!

It's so great! (I do wish my MAC looked like this... maybe someday!) But, even with my little MacBook I made an iMovie complete with iDVD and had the best time! I took the plunge and am teaching these two programs to 200 kids ages 4th - 5th grade! WOW! I can't wait to see their final product!

Basketball

Josh was very sad.

His basketball team lost. They had a dismal season. They were in last place and lost in the last one minute. His heart was crushed.

He was on a team with his cousin and several of his friends.
He didn't want it to end.

He was quiet on the long drive home. I asked him if he was disappointed. He nodded. We discussed other opportunities to play the sport and he is really eager to get back into it.

A date night was in order. We went for Sushi. His favorite. Then he went with me to the Apple Store so I could have a lesson.

He is officially taller then me.
He was happier on the drive home later.
Baseball is starting.
